We combine strength, conditioning, flexibility and mobility training to help our clients be strong in all planes of motion using functional fitness implements like the Ultimate Sandbag, TRX, dumbbells, and much more. What is functional fitness? This form of fitness uses exercises that train your muscles to work together and prepare them for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do at home, at work or in sports. While using various muscles in the upper and lower body at the same time, functional fitness exercises emphasize core stability without doing common core exercises like sit ups and planks. We also provide Corrective Exercise Programs to help those with back, hip, knee, and other joint pain, caused by muscle imbalances, poor posture, and more.

Working in the automotive industry for nine years, dealing with rotating shifts, repetitive movements, injuries to my rotator cuff and knee, and lack of sleep made it hard to workout at a gym because of my crazy schedule. Traditional bodybuilding routines no longer gave my body what it needed, at all. I needed to train differently to strengthen my body’s weak points, including the deep stabilizer muscles, and synergists to achieve more of a mind/body connection. I tried physical therapy for three months. I needed more sessions but couldn’t afford it plus they only focused on my shoulder issue. Bodyweight training was fun but it didn’t help.
Ultimate Sandbag Training was the answer to my problem. After training with it for six months, I felt like a new person. I’ve enjoyed the great benefits and convenience of DVRT (sandbag) training for 3+ years now. I’ve gotten stronger, leaner, and most of all I’ve strengthened my weak shoulder and knee stabilizers making me more athletic than ever.
Years ago at my former job, I was chosen to serve as an ergonomics specialist working with my team members and management on how to position, move, and use their bodies in more efficient ways to perform their jobs better and more importantly prevent injuries. Still, I wanted to learn more about muscle imbalances and how to help others correct them so I began educating myself.
